Summer vs. Winter, Hot vs. Cold

Pros-
Who doesn’t like summer? Summer is the best season of the year by far. There are so many fun things to do. The best part about summer is that we don’t have to go to school. I love all the summer activities. Summer is just so much fun! There is no school and you can pretty much do whatever you want. A lot of families go on vacation, go to concerts and go camping. The weather during summer just makes everything better. I love hot weather. When it’s super sunny out with just a little breeze it is something I call perfection. I love going to the beach for a day with my friends and family. I love just laying out on the beach and go swimming. Having no school and super-hot weather is the best part of the year. My favorite sport, softball is during the summer.  Summer is just the perfect time to relax and have fun with all of your friends and family.
Cons-
I have to say summer is my favorite season by far. But, it has a few downfalls. Some people don’t like summer because it’s too hot. Some people, like me, don’t have air conditioning. So, when they are outside for a whole day they can’t escape the heat. That is one thing I don’t like how it’s hard to get cooled off once you get too hot. Most people are happy during summer but other people seem to get cranky because of the heat. Some people don’t like summer because their favorite sports are during the winter. Unlike in spring it doesn’t rain a lot so some gardens may die, or go through a drought. Then when you go for ice-cream with your friends your ice-cream ends up melting, I hate when that happens.
I don’t understand how people can hate summer it’s the best season of the year!

Winter vs. Summer, Cold vs. Hot

            Pros
Winter is better than summer without a doubt. I think that being hot and sweaty is a horrible feeling and is very uncomfortable. When you are cold you can always put on more clothing and or blankets and coverings. When you are hot you can’t keep stripping to keep cool. Once you’re to your minimum you can’t do much more. Heat makes me sweaty and dirty and gross. I don’t know about you but I don’t like that gritty, gross feeling. When you are cold you don’t sweat or get dirty most of the time. Most normal everyday foods that I eat are warm, warm food in the summer can be gross and dreary. I don’t like eating hot or warm food. When its summer I would prefer cold drinks but even if you get ice drinks they melt before I am able to finish. In the winter you can get warm or cold drinks and they are perfect the whole time you drink. I also prefer the winter because my favorite sport is during the winter. You can do almost any sport in the winter. It’s great. In the summer it is harder to do certain sports because you need a gym and no one wants to be in a gym when it is 90 degrees outside, that is uncomfortable. In the winter the chance for getting dehydrated and sick is low but in the summer you have to be more careful about what and how much you drink even eat.
            Cons
In the winter I can’t walk outside barefoot or go get a tan. No bike riding or doing activities that I love to do. If you prefer the heat rather than the winter you are stuck cooped up inside with little to do. In the winter I am mostly inside bored unless I have someone or something to do. When I go outside in the winter I have to bundle up and I can’t move around as much as I would prefer. When I am wearing all that clothing I get Closter phobic and want to just take it off. I love to swim. I can’t always go to a gym or an inside pool. So that isn’t fun. It would be a lot easier to just go to a friend’s house or right in your back yard. I also hate that in the winter the clothing choice is to a minimum. You can’t wear shorts or skirts or dresses unless you are inside and even when you are you are cold an uncomfortable. You don’t have as many varieties. I like to have a choice in the morning. In the winter I wear jeans and a shirt. In the summer I could wear jean shorts or sporty short, flip flops or sandals, t shirt or tank top. I like to have a wide variety of options.
